14 weeks
I am a big boy now, Milo says. I can even go down the stairs all by myself and every since I got my 14 week shots I have been going on nice walks around Cambridge. My favorite places are Inman and Harvard Square because there are lots of people people for me to say hi to and I also the bike shop on Broadway because they give treats and get all happy when they see me. Sometimes I relax next to mamma on a bench and I like that too, especially if it is hot outside. I like it because mamma gives me lots of treats and tells me what a good boy I am when I relax nicely. By the way, do not tell her but mamma surely has a lot to say to say sometimes: "Milo come, Milo sit, Milo this Milo that." But I love her anyway..
Fetching
We were so proud when Milo starting fetching. I do not think this video does justice to how well he can fetch you get the idea. And yes, I am fully aware that I have barely posted anything but pictures and videos of Milo. There is a lot of Milo going on around here and frankly he is too cute to not post constantly about. So no, I am not apologizing. I did not think you minded either :).
Smarty pants
This toy is amazing. It is called "The Pyramid" and is from a series of interactive toys designed by Nina Ottosson (we got ours from here). The toy can be filled with treats. It has a single opening at the top and it wobbles so it is difficult to get treats out all at one time. Milo has completely figure out this toy. I think we might need to upgrade him to the "smarty pants" puzzles from this series!
A lovely weekend
A couple of weekends ago we went to NH to visit Jon, Glenna and little Annika. Annika is a gorgeous baby and is currently starting to talk and put sentences together which is amazing to see. We had a wonderful afternoon with them. I only wished I would have taken more pictures of the surroundings and of us (mostly children and pet pictures here!). Glenna's parents house is surrounded by a lake and the views from their house are breathtaking.
Milo played very nicely with Annika and her little cousins and they were very gentle with him. Their interaction was too cute for words!

Another video of Milo
I am trying really hard to take more videos of Milo because I think his cuteness is hard to capture in pictures. For example, he has the cutest little walk that can only be appreciated if you see him in person. Everyone who has met him tells me that he is so much cuter in person. Oh well, our video is very low tech (not sure what is happening with our camera) but here is one attempt. He is excellent with commands and the only reason he did not do the last one I asked him too is because I am holding the camera with one hand and I am pretending to have a treat in the other (he caught on to that one by the third command). Enjoy! I will try to post another one (better quality one) soon! And yes, please ignore my ridiculous baby voice....

NPR
For those of you who missed my NRP (National Public Radio) debut here it is. The segment is from On Point. A hybrid of a talk program and a news-magazine, On Point "puts each day's news into context and provides a lively forum for discussion and debate." The live show is broadcast in Boston, and on stations around the country (you can listen to the show live by logging to www.wbur.org, which is what I do). It is truly a fantastic show - I am a huge fan of it. Well, back at the beginning of August, they did a show on Cuba and it's uncertain future. I, of course, called in to offer my two cents and guess what... they took my call. I was especially thankful since one can spend a whole hour trying to get through - it's a popular show. If you do not want to listen to the whole thing (and who does expect my parents and husband), fast-forward to half an hour into the show, which is close to when my call was taken. I was mainly disagreeing with one of the guests on the show who thought a large percentage of Cubans are content with the current political situation. It was a neat experience. I especially liked being called "Lords." Here it is.
Corelli
Once in a while I hear a piece of music that moves me. This can be triggered by any kind of music, but more often than not it is a classical music piece that truly inspires me. What is it about music that does that? I have been listening to Arcangelo Corelli's Concerti Grossi Op 6...truly, truly beautiful. I specially like the interpretation by the "Academy of St. Martin in the Fields." If you have a chance, check it out in iTunes. Notably, Concerti No. 4 in D Major, Adagio-Allegro is a breath of fresh air and incredibly inspiring!
